WOW!!! It looks awesome. I love
seeing how you have created the different parts of
the town. Would it be possible to see the floor layouts
for the opera, just to seen see how you got it all
to flow. Happy Siming,

Okay, girl, I just spent a couple
hours building a custom grocery/bookstore/florist.
And now I visit your lovely city, and realize that
I will have to add an opera house and an upscale restaurant.
I don't know what to say. These new buildings are
simply amazing! So, I guess this means that I will
have to study them, so that I can add them to my town.
They are just totally beautiful. And just what a New
Orleans-type city needs. Once again, thanks for the
inspiration. |

Thank you, Treelife!
:) Oh, you're right about the floor plans, I usually
do take a snapshot of it, but totally forgot about
it. I'll try to add this during the week-end! Thanks
for your visit!
Hey Pat! :) It's funny, I would have
made something totally different for a New-Orleans
town. More like a posh jazz-club, with red curtains
and clothes. I don't imagine this opera in my Twinbrooks.
I'd be curious to see how it goes in yours. :) |

WOW! This all looks so amazing! I'm
particularly impressed by the concert hall and the
fancy restaurant. So elegant and full of luxury! It's
nice to have a place for all your rich Sims to frequent.
I don't know if you've seen it yet
at Sullivan but I've used your recording studio
stuff to build two different studios! One is in
Luc and Asha's house (a mini-one) and one is at
the university. |
Sandy answered:

Thanks, Carla!
I have seen your studios in Sullivan! I think it was
before I began to comment, when I was in lurking mode
(I was afraid to have nothing interesting enough to
say to comment, but now that I have my little site,
I know I find every comment interesting enough, so
I also tend to finally comment elsewhere! ;)), but
I have seen them *yup*. Your university is so stunning!
Pat, stupidly, I lost your comment!
I hit on "Delete" instead of "Copy"!
*blushing of shame* So, to answer it anyway (but feel
free to resend it!), I wrote I didn't imagine this
building in MY Twinbrooks. If I was playing more with
this town, I would have done a town inspired by New-Orleans,
with a past glory, but faded (not like in New Orleans,
huh). I would have imagined a town that might not
exist anywhere, I don't try to recreate a reality
but to imagine a new place, including its history.
So, in my Twinbrooks, there would be great buildings,
but a bit destroyed and empty shells or with another
use than what they used to be. The high society would
have ran away to other towns long time ago, and an
opera wouldn't be needed. If I built one, maybe there
would be a dance academy inside, instead. I didn't
mean New Orleans was Bourbon Street, I was talking
about my Twinbrooks, that is a fictive town. :) |

Have finally finished my performing
arts center. Have incorporated several of your ideas,
but did make a few changes. Anyway, here's a link
to the photos. Hope it works. And thanks again for
your inspiration! http://s1141.photobucket.com/albums/n595/samkat10423/Centre%20Performing%20Arts/ |

What a gorgeous building, with so
many uses. I love the idea of having it be an exclusive
cocktail lounge so people will show up in their formalwear.
I also like that you put a buffet table in the Virtuosos
so people can eat there. You have so many great ideas!
And everything looks beautiful. |
Sandy answered:

Thank you, Jen! I enjoy having
a fancy restaurant for the "high society",
but I'd be really happy if we could have someday real
restaurants with waiters. It's always strange to see
my snob richissim to ask for food at the bar, or take
a plate at the buffet as it they were at the cafeteria!
*lol* I'm sure they're shocked to not be served! |

Comme pour toute tes constructions,
j'adore!

hi, this set is absolutely gorgeous!
I am hoping soon for a better computer so I can finally
play the Sims3, and I will be sure to download your
sims3 sets. I was wondering, would you be willing
to create more for the set used in "The Virtuosos"
Restaurant for Sims2? Before I scrolled down and seen
it was a set for the Sims3, I was just thinking what
an awesome set for a restaurant, lol. |
Sandy answered:
(Aug 8, 16:35) |
Thanks for your comment, Kim!
I'm not completely sure to understand what you're
requesting though... I've recreated the Virtuoso set,
that I originally made for Sims 3, for Sims
2 and even for Sims
1. So.. isn't it what you ask for? |

C'est vraiment magnifique ce que
tu fais, et tellement vivant! Les couleurs, textures,
et tout le reste c'est vraiment beau :) Mais
je me demandais quelque chose ( désolée

Sandy answered:
(Sep 22, 11:26) |
Oui, j'utilise le Register
de Twallan. Il me semble avoir expliqué
ça en détails quelque part, mais je
ne le retrouve plus... Il faudrait que je poste un
article dans "les Coulisses". |

Absolutely Exquisite! I love your
work! I would love to download your "Opera House!"
Where do you get your custom content for this building?
Do we need to have the sims 3 Late Night Expansion
to use these ie: the "The Virtuosos" restaurant?
What Expansion Packs do we need? Thanks CC |
Sandy answered:
(Oct 21, 17:23) |
I made the objects I'm using
in the Virtuosos, you can find them at Around
the Sims 3. The bar requires Late Night, but the
other objects can be used with the base game.
For the rest of the opera (statues, seats...), it's
objects of the game, but they might come from various
expansion packs. |
